Happy Birthday To Me!
Today, September 8th, is my 27th birthday! Yay!!
It is also the new moon in Virgo, which my favorite astrologer (Susan Miller of Astrologyzone.com - her free monthly forecasts are amazingly accurate) says will be positive for many fresh starts. Woo hoo!!! (Africa... Namibia... much?!)
So a few minutes before midnight, I'm browsing through some random World Star videos to get a good laugh and I decide to check my email. I'm getting several Facebook birthday wish notifications and what do I see in my gmail inbox?
An email with a video attached to it from the infamous disappearing act ex boyfriend.
I REFUSE to get too negative on my birthday or to let anyone's foolishness affect my celebatory mood.
But to summarize, his video message nervously and stumblingly blurted out: "Happy Birthday... I really really really miss you, I know you don't believe that, I spent two hours trying to put this video together but my computer was acting up... I had something special planned out but it didn't work so I'm just doing this run through quickly so I can get it to you by midnight..."
Huh? I'm pretty much done with trying to understand people's bizarre and selfish behavior. Only entering and exiting in and out of your life when they are ready to. It's totally selfish and inconsiderate. And I know for a fact that I don't treat the people I care about like that.
Anyway, today is my day. I have been through too much this year, matter fact the past 3 years, and if this new moon coinciding with my birthday is really bringing me fresh starts, then let's go. I'm happy to be able to spend it with people who genuinely care about me, who make me feel good about myself, and who are consistently there for me in the good times and the bad. Not when they only perceive me to be a great catch, for example. No time for opportunists!
Happy birthday to me and thank you Mommy for shining your light on me. I can feel your warm presence around me once again (smile).
