| A hazy Jamaica afternoon |
So I was walking to the mailbox just now, and it is such a beautifully warm Georgia afternoon. Just glorious. I love warm weather.. and whenever I return from Africa, I've decided that I HAVE to live somewhere where it is warm year round. Right now in NYC the weather has already turned cool. Meanwhile down here, it's been in the 90s straight through. It just reinforces my desire to relocate to the Caribbean or Africa for good. I love waking up and being able to walk outside and feel a warm breeze. It never gets old. It's so refreshing and energizing. I can wake up at 5am in a warm climate and feel refreshed and ready to take on the world. And I love humidity too. I will forever love warm evenings. A tropical climate just speaks to something in my soul, and I can't shake it off. Mornings in Barbados are absolutely amazing. Talk about glorious. Just makes you feel closer to heaven.
I'm totally with you. Nothing like the sun blazing down and the salt air kissing your skin to inspire you. I live in Chicago but tropical weather is what energizes me as well.
ReplyDeleteYES GIRL, you know exactly what I'm talking about!! I LOVE salt air... especially at Bathsheba on the east coast of Barbados... you can actually taste the salt in the air on your lips. Just one of the many reasons I love the Caribbean.. and will hopefully permanently re-locate : )
