Al Sharpton Remembers Michael in Harlem

About a week ago, Al Sharpton re-solidified my respect for him via Twitter when he tweeted the following:
TheRevAl "MICHAEL JACKSON must never be forgotten. One year later, join us at the Apollo. Every interview they continue to smear him. We owe him."
Today marks the one year anniversary of Michael Jackson's death, and in celebration of his life and legacy, Al Sharpton and his National Action Network held a memorial in Harlem, a few blocks from the Apollo Theater. Of course, I had to be there! I took a few (amateur) pics and video with my cell phone to capture the moment. Kids were dancing, people were singing, and there was a moment of silence for Michael at 5:26pm. I just LOVE how we once again took care of Michael, and gave him the respect he deserves. It was a beautiful thing.

Rest in peace Michael!
